Unwind and Rewind Guiding
Offset Pivot Guides provide web position correction with minimum entry and exit span requirements. Designed with either a single roller, or, more commonly, with two parallel rollers, As a result, OPG’s require only minimal space for installation (based on material modulus of elasticity). Fife offers three guide structures that are extremely flexible with a variety of configurations, pneumohydraulic, electrohydraulic or the most widely used electromechanical. The MicroSymat is a compact, single-roll offset pivot guide that delivers precise, reliable operation in edge, center or line guiding applications at the unwind as well as the rewind. A Servo-Center transducer provides automatic guide centering to speed setup and threading, reducing downtime and waste. The Symat 25 and 50 deliver the same precise, reliable operation as the MicroSymat. The Symat 25 is available with three standard roll faces & guide spans: 6.30 inches (160 mm), 7.88 inches (200 mm), and 9.84 inches (250 mm) --- custom sizes are also available upon request. The Symat 50 starts the next size range with web widths from 10.00 inches (254 mm) to widths up to 21.00 inches (533 mm).

Additionally, it eliminates worry about cabling changes because the Polaris is 100% backwards compatible with Fife’s existing product line.
