Fife's SE-31-IS Sensor helps eliminates concern in applications where safety is the primary issue
Oklahoma City, OK, February 23, 2001 - Fife Corporation, an industry leader in web guiding and inspection products and systems, introduces its latest innovation in sensor technology.
The SE-31-IS Intrinsically Safe Ultrasonic Sensor is designed for hazardous areas (Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D), where safety is the primary issue. This new sensor exceeds industry standards with CE, UL, cUL, and CENELEC-(EEx ia IIB T4) certifications.
The SE-31-IS is unaffected by optical variations or ambient light, eliminating the need for multiple sensors, reducing downtime and increasing productivity. Using ultrasonic sound to detect the web edge, this sensor will not affect photosensitive paper/film. Improved circuitry reduces the effect of standing waves and temperature variations for improved overall performance.
Fife is a Maxcess International company along with Tidland Corporation (web winding and slitting products and systems) and Magnetic Power Systems, Inc. (MAGPOWRÒ web tension controls).
